Beatriz started training in ballet at age 4 under the direction of Russian ballet instructors. After several years of training, she got the opportunity to perform with the New York City Ballet during the production of Cinderella.

      

       After graduating High School, she moved to St. Petersburg, FL where she was able to continue her dance training. While attending college at Park University, she became a member of the New River Dance Team.

 

       After graduating from college, Beatriz got married and started a family. Her husband got stationed at the USMC base, Camp Lejeune, NC. Soon after, she was offered a position at the North Carolina School of Performing Arts in Jacksonville, where she taught ballet, tap, and jazz.

 

      When the School closed, Beatriz decided to open her dance studio in 2009 which she named after her dance team, “New River”.

 

       In 2011, her husband was transferred to Quantico USMC base where she opened her second studio in Stafford VA. 

 

       Beatriz is trained in Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Flamenco, Hip Pop, and also has Latin dance experience. She enjoys choreographing competition routines for solos, small groups, and dance teams.
